I joined the Clinical Trials Unit at RMI because I am deeply committed to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care through research. RMI’s Clinical Trials Unit provides an exceptional platform for conducting cutting-edge clinical research, which aligns with my career aspirations. Furthermore, I have the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of new medical treatments and therapies, ultimately benefiting patients and the broader healthcare community. This sense of purpose and impact was a significant motivating factor for my decision.
In my role within the Clinical Trial Unit as a physician, my primary responsibilities encompass a multifaceted approach to support the unit’s mission. I am tasked with actively participating in the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical trials, ensuring that they adhere to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards. This involves conducting thorough patient assessments, diagnosing medical conditions, and prescribing appropriate treatments as required by the trial protocols. I collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, researchers, and statisticians, to collect and analyze data accurately. Additionally, I play a pivotal role in patient recruitment and informed consent processes, emphasizing clear communication and patient safety. My responsibilities also include maintaining comprehensive records, monitoring patient progress, and adapting treatment plans as needed.I am also involved in budgeting for trials in the pipeline.
